Augusta | Victory Red Nylon - American Heritage Collection

The American Heritage Collection is a tribute to timeless style and the enduring spirit of American pride. These nylon bags are crafted with exceptional durability and attention to detail, making them the perfect companion for your everyday life.

Each bag in this collection is a symbol of unity, resilience, and the values that define our nation. Carry the spirit of strength in your heart and American pride on your shoulder, every day of the year.

Two bags in one, the Augusta nylon purse can be worn as a belt bag or as an over-the-shoulder sling bag, depending on what the day has in store for you. Augusta is compact but still roomy enough for your wallet, phone, and other accessories.

This fully lined nylon bag includes an exterior back zipper pocket and two interior slip pockets so you can keep everything organized and easy to find. She zips along the top to close and comes with an adjustable strap with a side-release plastic buckle. The Augusta bag is perfect for hikes, outdoor concerts, traveling, and everything in between.

Each R.Riveter handbag takes a journey across the country before arriving at your doorstep. Components are crafted by independent military spouses in their homes around the nation and shipped to R.Riveter's FabShop to be assembled into a one-of-a-kind product.

Inspiration Behind the Name

The Augusta honors Augusta Van Buren, a trailblazer in travel in the United States. Born in 1884, Augusta and her sister Adeline set out on a cross-country motorcycle journey to prove a point. They rode 5500 miles in 60 days, from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and down into Mexico, in protest of not being allowed to join the military dispatch service during World War I.

The sisters dedicated their motorcycle journey to proving that women were capable of doing any job as well as a man. While considered icons today, Augusta and Adeline were arrested several times during their journey for wearing “men’s clothes” and were often criticized for their feat. This bag celebrates Augusta's dedication to advancing women’s rights.
